This year’s Civil Services Preliminary Examination was conducted on June 16 in dual sessions, with General Studies Paper 1 commencing at 9:30 am and General Studies Paper 2 starting at 2:30 pm.

According to expert analysis, the current year’s preliminary exam was less challenging compared to the previous year. “There were fewer ‘pair type’ questions, and an increased number of ‘match the columns’ type questions,” noted Deepanshu Singh, an educator and mentor for UPSC candidates.

Candidates who have successfully achieved scores above the established cut-off in the UPSC CSE Preliminary Examination are eligible to register and participate in the Main Examination.
